Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Schemes (TAMS 3)
This government initiative aimed at supporting Irish farmers in upgrading their equipment and infrastructure to enhance productivity and sustainability. T
hrough TAMS 3, farmers can access grants for various investments, such as improving farm buildings, investing in renewable energy technologies, and adopting precision farming practices.
For solar PV installations up to 62kWp and battery storage up to 31kWp, eligible farmers can receive 60% TAMS grant support, with an investment cap of €90,000.
SEAI
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) offers grants that can cover up to 40% of installation costs for solar panel farms in Ireland.
On average, these grant payments amount to €4,000 are available. SEAI has provided dairy farmers with over €470,000 in funding through this grant program, covering up to 40% of the cost of installed items.
